The Cakery on First is an itty bitty bakery located in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho. From Bundts to loaves to layers and of course, cupcakes, we’re serving up cake in all its forms and so much more.

Come visit us at the farmers market every Saturday from 9a - 1p, May through October, in Farmin Park in downtown Sandpoint. Our new and improved online ordering system opens in May and our new brick-and-mortar location, which we’re hard at work on, opens at 323 N 1st Avenue in June.

A collection of cakes a bit less formal than our buttercream layer cakes but no less festive. Think confetti layer cake, classic yellow birthday cake with fudge frosting, Boston cream pie, Victoria Sponge cake, and more.

Without a doubt, the darlings of all our offerings. Easy to serve and a delight to behold, our cupcakes are available by the dozen in both classic and special edition flavors in a variety of designs.

buttercream layer cakes

A rotating menu of four layer cakes, perfect for birthdays and special celebrations. Choose from buttercream flowers, fresh organic florals by local grower Flowers From the Heart, or signature ruffles and sprinkles for decoration.

The Cakery On First is a bakery located in Sandpoint, Idaho. We offer semi-custom buttercream layer cakes made from the highest quality ingredients we can get our hands on, much of which is organic. We also do wedding cakes, custom dessert tables, and cupcakes (because mom said we had to offer cupcakes and she was totally right.)

We’re exceptionally proud to be a part of the Farmers Market at Sandpoint community where we offer beautifully displayed small-batch seasonal bakes (almost) every Saturday from May to October. Our very first brick-and-mortar is slated to open in downtown Sandpoint in Spring 2026.
